This artwork depicts a weapon which is a part of my sci-fi world's lore. Do not copy the design, use it in your own artworks, or claim it as your own!

Lore and Description:
3K8 "Cerdoc" is an assault rifle made by Kaneesian which entered service with Istarian Self-Defense Force in substantial numbers, replacing some older designs, like the 3K4 "Lican". The weapon is, in many regards, an updated and further refined "Lican", with whom it shares the caliber of 6.4 × 48 mm, but also features several new neat features. The most notable one is the massive integrated muzzle device, which lowers the sound report and muzzle flash of the weapon, as well as substantially decreasing recoil via the use of a moving counterweight. This makes the weapon almost pinpoint accurate at standard engagement ranges, even allowing long bursts to be fired and confidently hit the target. Overall, the weapon is a solid attempt at perfecting a standard and a widespread design and Istarian troops who use it usually only talk with praise about it.

Inspiration and Background Information:
The overall weapon design is influenced by various designs of the AR-15 and AR-18 families of weapons. The stock is based on that of the IWI Carmel.
