NSDTR=Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (I couldn't type the full name into the title)

My friend recently gave me some very nice art, and I offered to draw something for her in return. She wanted a NSDTR puppy. And no, I decided I couldn't just do one who has sitting or standing, I had decided to do one jumping into a flipping puddle.

...oh my gracious this is probably the most frustrating thing I have ever drawn.

A problem I have often encountered is making my animals too skinny. I can get away with it on cats, but I figured it would look weirder on dogs. So, I attempted to fatten it up a bit and ended up with this...thing.

Yeah...I was originally going to have a bunch of ducks flying away, but by the time I finished the lines (the head alone took me a day and a half) I just wanted it to be over. Also, please excuse the deformed hind legs.

I suppose I'll shut up now. Usually I feel like my descriptions are too short, but...agh, nevermind. I think I'll just sit in a dark room for a while and try to keep all thoughts of ducks, retrievers, and Nova Scotia out of my mind...
