Description
In 2019 I participated in Inktober with the official prompt list, but took my own spin on it: Into the forest.

All illustrations are made on A4 180 gsm drawing paper with a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen.

Day four was "Freeze".

While this was the first, during that year, that I ended up not really liking, looking back on it, I think it may have been a great starting point for me exploring more areas of the medium. Working more with detail and linewidth and different textures, while still keeping it simple.
I suppose my dislike of it at the time was more that, I didn't think it fully showed what I wanted to convey but with the power of hindsight I can see this is where the seeds of opening up started.
