Pokemon day may be over, but I've only shared one of the three staters I've made to commemorate. Now, it's time for Bulbasaur, the grass pokemon, overcoming FIRE!

Just .. Look at them! So, cute with their little buckethat and scout-scarf and marshmallow <3

Please disregard how they got the fire started and how close their vines are to the fire. That is not important

I've really upped my experimenting with light and shadow in this piece, as well as texture on the different trees. Wanna know the secret to good lighting in drawings? Don't be scared of making the shadows too dark. Don't be scared of "hiding" the colours behind shadows. As long as you show it in some places, the brain is gonna put all of it together

I think I might want to explore this tip a bit more and I kinda wanna make a video on it. When I get back into making videos again XD
