Dialogue
Midnight is the daughter of Twilight Sparkle and Tempest Shadow, she is also the younger sister of Nebula Spark. Night Strike is the son of Soarin and Rainbow Dash and he is the little brother of Moondance.

Midnight is together with Night Strike in Canterlot, because Midnight's mother Twilight has important duties to do in the city.

Midnight pulls out a key, which Night Strike is very surprising.

"Where did you get the key? And where are we here?" asks the young stallion

The young unicorn foal looked at him with a smile on her face, "This here is the old study tower of Mother and I found the key in mother's bedroom." announces the young pony.

"What..." the young stallion stands next to her with his eyes wide open and fur ripped apart. "You can't do that Midnight! If your mother finds out you're in trouble, I'm sure."

Midnight looks at him with a smile, "Oh come on, before she notices, I've already put him back."

"What do we want here anyway in your mother's old study tower?" The young stallion stands in front of her.

She looks at him with a slightly annoyed look and then looks up with rolling eyes. "I have the feeling that there is a book with spells in it. That may help me to discover my talent."

Night Strike looks at her with a confused look, " That's only possible in fairy tales or not? Besides, my aunt Scootaloo always says that you can't force your Cutie Mark and that you just have to be patient."

"Oh no, I don't believe that. Besides, you already have yours, so please help me find it!" she unlocked the door to the tower and went off.

"... ok, but don't say I didn't want to stop you" answers Night Strike.

After a while Midnight found what she had been looking for and immediately tried some spells on herself. She tried it probably 20 times, but always the appearing of an Cutie Mark disappeared again. When Midnight wanted to try it again, Princess Luna walked into the door.

Night Strike noticed the princess and politely bowed his head to greet her. The princess did the same and bowed her head. She immediately looked at Midnight.

"You'd rather listen to a young pony or do you never want to discover your Cutie Mark?" The princess looks at the young pony with a slightly serious face.

Midnight jerked in horror as the princess said, "What do you mean, Princess Luna?" The young pony looked at her with expectation.

She looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Midnight!?"

"Oh, sorry, I forgot." Midnight quickly bowed her head to greet. Again Luna did it like her and bowed her head.

"..." Luna looked at the young pony and began to laugh.

Both Midnight and Night Strike were surprised and curious.

Midnight took a step closer to the princess, "W..what do you mean by "never discover your Cutie Mark" "Princess Luna?", the young pony looked at her with big and worried eyes.

At the same moment the princess put one of her wings around Midnight and covered half her body, "Don't worry, little Midnight." She smiled at the young pony with her eyes closed. "I just wanted your attention and I got it too, didn't I?"

Midnight was relieved and ashamed at the same time that she hadn't seen through the princess's trick, "..."

"Look Midnight, every young pony gets his Cutie Mark sooner or later. But you can't force him with spells or potions." Luna took another step back to award Midnight. "Have you ever heard of a pony that could force his Cutie Mark?"

"N..No Princess Luna." Midnight looked Luna in the eyes.

Luna smiled again, "That's because it's never happened before and it never will." she kept silent for a moment "You have to be patient, young Midnight. Believe me, every pony must learn this lesson, even my sister and I."

Midnight was surprised and still had so many questions in her mind, "Really, Princess Luna?"

"Your time will come, little Midnight." with the words she went towards the exit. Before she left, she heard the two little ponies talking.

"You see, Midnight, that's what I've been trying to explain to you all along. You have to be patient, that's what my aunt Scootaloo always said." He stood proudly in front of her because he knew he was right from the beginning.

Midnight rolled her eyes, "Yes yes you were right and I wasn't right, big deal."

Shortly After that, Luna left the tower.
