Aand here’s my first entry for Grave-of-Roseus ’s competition. First, we have a fusion of Rouxls Kaard and Lancer from Deltarune, who I named Cortenay! I tried not to make him too close to my own interpretation of the boys, so the fusion’s still recognisable. I actually grabbed about twenty references of late 1800s to early 1900s fashion plus some snakes and actually a redraw of a Steven Universe scene, featuring a kind of previous version of his design. Here’s some fun facts about the fusion;

He/him
Also goes by Sergeant Cortenay, pronounced ‘Courtney’
He randomly replaces words in his sentence with Broken Old English speech patterns.
He loves motivational speeches and music! His theme and favourite song is the one quoted above.
6’8”
He’s energetic and silly as derived from Lancer’s part of the fusion, but sometimes even contradicts himself with being very reserved and often paranoid.

He has a Fusion!SOUL of the Bravery and Perseverance traits, but there is a certain element in Lancer’s SOUL that modifies it in a such way that he can travel to the Light World. He is too tall to enter 90% of the buildings there.. so he usually hangs about with some of the Hometown Schoolgoers (Kris, Susie, Berdly, Noelle) outside. He has met the Skelebros a couple times, literally spending hours telling awful jokes with Sans, and learning how to make spaghetti with Papyrus. He’s very close with Paps, Cortenay often walks around outside with Papy on his shoulder.

He’s a very, very fast runner. He has Fusion!SOUL controlled Purple and Orange Spade attacks that have a pattern similar to Jevil’s spade attack. However, his attacks are mostly influenced by Lancer’s, as Rouxls cannot summon them himself. He has a mask Perseverance Trait, meaning he can move them between three bars like Muffet. Such patterns are shown through Cortenay’s attacks, as he can apply it to his Spades as well. The Perseverance trait SOUL modification can also affect one entities’ SOUL as Cortenay.

I mean.. he tries to cook? He’s learning with papy <3
