When I was young, one of my big dreams was to drive this car. This wish, however, hasn't come true so far. I modelled this picture in 3DSmax and modified composition and colors in Photoshop. Clouds are combined from several photos and partly sketched in using the tablet. Full image version has 2200x1524pix. wire - [link]

Great work bro....but....hahaha....i know im gunna get some mail for this, but this is my favorite car.....lol
everything is perfect but the rear view mirrors actually mount off the A pillars, not on the fenders of the car, because it is so low to the ground that if they were mounted there, all you would see is bumper...lol...Other tha that, great work...just a few quick facts...

Amazing. How many polys did the car take? Have you seen the cars in Project Gotham 3? Your's look similar in the realism department. I think they are achieving 40.000 polys for exterior and another 40.000 for the interior. I wish I could make such precise models but I'm nowhere near that level.

Awesome, well done indeed! Couple of critiques though.
There is a badge missing on the nose of the car, there should be a little orange reflector behind the front wheelwell, and those sideview mirrors look just a bit HUGE. And from a car-nut's perspective, the spoiler lacks detail and looks a little too flat. Also from the car-nut view: the nose of the car looks like it belongs to a regular McLaren F1, but the lines and spoiler hint at an F1 LM, which has a different nose on it. And it only comes in orange. Again, if it is indeed an LM and not a freakishly good-looking self design, the sideskirts and wheelwells should have a bit more flare. And there should be little vent slits over the front wheels.
But other than that, I have not seen a better modeling of a car yet. Oh, and he's making an illegal lane-change over a solid white line without using his turn signal.

Saw your deviantion on the home page and couldn't help but say WOW!. I love cars and have to say this looks exceptiponal. Given the limitations of the modelling softwre I have to say this looks better than the original. As for a previous comment you will have to do more than save. The GTR is more rare than the regular McLaren so an extensive search (A year long if you are lucky) is in order.
Love the pic, don't mind the car (I'm a TVR/ Bugatti fan).
