Ara is Akira's older sister, her parents of course being Matt and Sora. Her partner is Biyomon.

Ara has never had any of the tomboyish nature her mother had, and only desires to join her in the fashion career. So while her brother, parents, and friends fight against Leopardmon and ChaosBurstBeelzemon she can only sit by an watch, clutching her Biyomon. Biyomon tries to break free and join the battle, but Ara's grip is to tight. When Garudamon de-digivolves back to Sora's Biyomon, Ara's finally breaks through, yelling she can't sit and watch any more. It tries to grab Biyomon, before she can be hit by ChaosBurstBeelzemon's blast. Ara screams and Matt and Sora began to glow. The Crest of Friendship and The Crest of Love shoot from there bodies and head straight into Akira and Ara. A digivice floats into Ara's hand and a bright light blocks ChaosBurstBeelzemon's attack. Finally letting go of her fear allows Biyomon to Warp DNA digivolve and join the battle.
