A few hours after round two came to a close, Dan decided to take a walk. Observing the cutting-edge technology in the stadium was a welcome distraction from the burning anticipation of round three. It was heaven to him here. The whirring of the motors, the bright, colorful monitors that were mounted on every wall, and the brilliant audio system that was wired through the entire complex.
"It's a tech-geek's paradise here," Dan thought. Without warning, the monitors flared to life, and a very familiar face was presented on each one. It was the hostess, Hero Slavaster.
"Hello, PGO contestants! I'm sure you've all been waiting eagerly to find out what challenge you'll have to face next, so I'm glad to announce that the wait is over!"
"Finally!" Dan said. "I was starting to get anxious."
"Your next task will be to fight, (you ready for this?) ...ME! That's right contestants, you're gonna have to challenge me and two of my four dragon Pokemon.
Dan had a serious look on his face and put a hand over his mouth. Dragon types were tricky, they could appear to be out of energy one moment, and then full of it the next. If you were overconfident, you could find you and your team in a bad situation. His battle with the Team Plasma Admin's Hydreigon taught him that.
"The rules are simple, You've got to battle me. I'm not saying you have to beat me, just battle. I'll be observing how you and your team work as a group. If I think you've got what it takes, you'll go on. Good luck!
The image of Hero faded away, leaving the screen dark and colorless. "Fighting the hostess, eh?" Dan said, turning to Mitts. "This could be a challenge." Mitts smiled ("Dan, you've beaten Alder five times. I think you can handle this.") Dan nodded. "Thanks for the support, Mitts, I'm gonna need it.

"Come on out, Wattson and Rinzler." Dan said, throwing two Poke-balls in the air. A few seconds later, the capsules opened, and both landed on the ground.
Rinzler puffed out his chest ("What's goin' down for 'dis round, Boss? Whatever is, I'm sure me 'an Yella-legs here can handle it.") Wattson looked at Rinzler with a grimace. ("I shall ignore that condescending nick-name, ruffian.") Dan chuckled "Knock it off you two, I need you both to cooperate if we're gonna win this round." He put his hands on the shoulders of both Wattson and Rinzler. "We're going up against the hostess in this round, so listen carefully. You both are at a slight disadvantage in this round, but both of you have moves that could push the odds in our favor. She knows that you guys are weak against flying-types, and she's got three on her team. So we've got to move carefully." Rinzler pushed Dan's hand of his shoulder and stepped forwards. ("We've got weaknesses to her types, so what? We'll be able to throw her team to 'da ground with our skills.") Wattson nodded in agreement. ("Never to fear, master Daniel. We can defeat her dragons with the utmost vigor.") Dan smiled. "That's what I like to hear guys." Dan stood up "Now come on, we've got a fight to attend .

The dome conditions were harsh, to say the least. It was hot, stuffy, dark, and humid. If it weren't for the lava in the crevices on the floor, Dan probably would have crashed to the bottom of some ravine. Dan had a close call a few minutes ago. A rock slide almost crushed him, and a geyser blasted steam that missed him only by a few centimeters. "As I said before" Dan said in a low mutter. "I think the hostess is trying to kill me." Dan later proceeded to the center of the dome, where a twenty-five year-old woman was sitting down on a rock. She had smooth, brown hair that stopped at the base of her neck. On top of her head was a black headband that made the hair from her forehead straightened. A gold necklace complimented her grass-green eyes that showed a mind that was busy at work, thinking of a strategy. She stood up, brushing her black tank-top and pants off.
"You must be Dan Andrews." She said in a kind tone of voice. "Congrats for making it this far." Dan glared at her. Thanks for the compliment, but I'm still mad about the Pineco trap in round 1." Hero chuckled "You're still mad about that? I told you, the environment for each dome is randomly generated, but that's beside the point." She put her hand by her belt. "Now, send out your pokemon. Show me how well you fight!" Dan grinned. He had to admit, she had a like-able attitude. "If it's a fight you want, than it's a fight you've got!" Dan yelled. "Go, Wattson and Rinzler!" He threw the poke-balls up in the air, then Wattson and Rinzler came crashing down to the floor. Hero smiled. "A bug-type and a fighting type, eh? Then i'll send out these two." She threw two of her own poke-balls in the air. Out from one was a proud, large Charizard, and out form the other came a sleek Flygon. "Now, let's see what you and your team can do!"
