This girl is a character designed for my
(fake)RPG game called "Storia".
At the beginning, she's designed to be a Chinese kung fu girl, but now, she is inseparable with her best friend which is a tiger grown up with her when she was small.
(She was designed half year ago so i love her very much><)
Here is another character of the game,,,,however i may come up with another design of him(?) since i'm not satisfied with it

Actually there are some more characters of the game(Almost all are girls XD) but i still don't get enough time to draw them.

This is an awesome piece of work except one major flaw. What the hell is wrong with her left hand? Her right hand seems a little edgy but it's mostly hidden so it's fine.. but that left hand doesn't seem like it properly attaches to the arm under her robe, the fingers shading is off, and her pinky is larger than any other finger but is also the furthest away.
The colors, char design, background, and composition on this are great. I just can't stop staring at that hand. =\

When you set aside a work for a while, sometimes you can see things you didn't before.
Still a very great work though.

The hand isn't actually that bad at all... Given the fact that that hand pose is difficult to make, (but necessary for guitar/banjo things) it was well done. If the pinky is reaching for the farthest back string, it's going to appear long then the others because the others are bent in so much to get the note necessary for the piece. I think, when looking at arms and such, you should imagine it as a sketch instead, it kind of helps to get the idea of how the artist saw it

The hand pose is extremely difficult to make, but I think it was very poorly done in comparison to the rest of the piece.
Find a reference (I use my own hand/guitar) and look at the lighting on the hands from many different angles. The lighting used (shadow on the lower joint of the finger) is partly what causes the strange distortion.

Well, considering the rest of the piece is very well done, i don't think the hand was her main focus...
I used my own hand and guitar too. But as I am more of an artist, I dont think it causes that much of a distortion. To where you have to say the hand ruins the piece :/

Until I notice something, the artwork can be a wonderful piece of art. Then sometimes I'll read a comment that might just say "That thigh!" or "That foot!" and it draws my attention to that area. Then all I am is fixated on the flaw that completely ruins the piece for me. A sub-par work that is of equal quality all around sits better with me than an amazing work of art with one stick in the mud - as I judge a piece by it's lowest leg.
It's a bit hypercritical, but I don't really sugarcoat what I say - and in the end - I only try to say things that can help. In this case there really wasn't much to say and the work itself is too finished to be able to make a few adjustments to that arm/hand without having to slave over that area of the piece for a while.

Doesn't have to be perfect. Just has to be well-balanced. I don't think you read the last sentence of the first paragraph.

If it's a mediocre work, but it's a mediocre work all around - I'm not bothered. If it's a great work, and then one part looks like it was drawn by another artist - I'm bothered. I could try to take an amazing work and with permission from the artist, completely distort one part of it (EG: make one eye really, really, really screwed up) to try and iterate my point. But I don't really care enough to.

I LOVE THIS!!!!! It's got all my favorite stuff in (tigers & guitar) it's definetly a fave (shame i don't have pixiv account) The color and composition are amazing.
