LA and Auckland. LA is hell. Really, although I did do my luggage check in Klingon for reasons too bizarre to go into.
Why do the Americans not just let you transit? I had to check in through immigration, go through customs with my kit then back out again an hour later. D'oh!

my uncle got taken into a interregation room in LA and had to stay there for like 4 hrs just cus he had a stamp from china in his passport.. and he was there on a business trip ffs

The flight took 32 hours??? OMG!!! It only took 23 hours from germany to australia. Are you sure you didn't count the timeshift of different timezones?
