you can make simple stamps (but without the transparent borders) with MsPaint :)

when I am try to inverse it, I only get a pop-up that says no pixels were selected

just make sure you've selected the base (=the part of the photo you want to keep inside the stamp) before inversing it.

if you have it as a file, then you open it and drag/drop it (or copy/past it). you can also copy/past it directly from your browser if you want.
