I looked to imitate the style of a certain madwoman when I drew this; I think we all admire her and her work. She's like an endless well of brilliant comics.

Honestly, no, I haven't read Calvin and Hobbes. But it's evident to me after reading many of the comments that Bill Watterson has already made a comic similar to this one. So he deserves all the credit, nonetheless.

Lol, upon checking that link, I see that's pure crap, I see nothing! Concept is nothing when you have no visuals to represent! Many times people just don't understand art. Even I as a former graphics student also find it hard to understand.

If I were the museum curator, I could just remove the artwork from display and classify that as super outdated. After all, pure black is nothing as even babies can paint that. The only artwork I still appreciate for its complexity in understanding yet still easy to draw are the abstract drawings, all squares and many colors, now those are the new bottom end artworks compare to the pure black.
