Weeeell... That's a Commission for TheLionsRoarr I am working on! I'll finish it tomorrow! <3 <3 <3 It's her absolutely handsome boy Ryosuke!!!!!!!

I draw with Krita and a Wacom CTH-690AB-S Intuos, Size M.

I'm not sure if thats oldschool but I still make a rough Sketch with a red Brush on an seperate Layer, made it more transparent and then I draw on a Layer above my Outlines.

I colorize with the G'MIC Filter. The whole Character in one Color, select that and then I fill it with the wanted Colors with my brush.
For the Shadows I use another Layer, set it up more transparent and drew my Shadows over the Colors.

You see... my shitty Backgrounds are my work, and the others too xD I don't trace. Sometimes I reference from Photos of real Lions. But well... Reference, not trace.

For me it's okay to trace, but you have to give credit and tell people: "Hey, it's traced from that XY Picture/Drawing!"
But even when I have no problem with it, it's better to try to learn to draw all by yourself, developing your own style is much more exciting than copy someone elses work.
