So in the scifi book I'm writing, I imagine most of the ships to look a bit like this. There's no artificial gravity, so they use rings wrapped around a central structure encased in an armor shell. There is a spinal coil gun (like a rail gun that spins like a rifle) and the main drive section is slightly separated. There are a few things that don't quite match up with exactly what I imagine, but the only really big difference is that the main gun wouldn't be so massive. Besides that, this is close enough that I am actually gonna use this as a mental model to help me describe the ships. Great Job!
