Hooo-weee, this was fun! As you can probably tell, I'm getting nostalgic for '90s toys again, especially the way toy lines would do ANYTHING to try to stay relevant to modern kid consumers. This was particularly evident in the '90s, as anyone who was a kid at the time will probably remember: New Adventures of He-Man, Transformers Generation 2, and of course G.I. Joe sub-lines that tried every topical '90s gimmick in the book like ninjas, mutants and even Eco-Warriors. It got kinda sad by the end. It even happened to TMNT eventually, when Power Rangers came struttin' into town.

But hey, at the end of the day, we got tons of crazy neon nonsense toys to cherish as kids and track down again in our 30's and 40's. Isn't that all that really matters?
