Description
This rock was painted in memory of Tokitae, the endangered Southern Resident Orca that was kept in a small tank in Miami Seaquarium for 50 plus years. She was captured in Penn Cove, here in the Pacific Northwest when she was around four years old. Last summer, hey were getting her ready to come back home but she passed away before that happened. Her mother and extended family had a gathering near San Juan Island the day Tokitae passed away.
