Description
wrote a wonderful abstract to describe this picture. Here it is. Thank you. I really like itScar blinks, completely thrown by the random question. "Hm? Mufasa?" He hums musingly as he casts a semi-nervous glance upwards, "I...I don't know.." He admits while thinking to himself -I certainly hope not!- This was not a conversation Scar did not want to continue, but Simba seemed to have other plans.
"He told me he would always be around." His voice was soft, almost wistful as he appeared to be tied up in a memory; then his eyes hardened and his jaw clenched, "He lied." He bit out, his voice full of pain and betrayal.
Scar was quick to snatch the moment, seeing it for all the potential it truly held, "Well." Scar began, his voice full of sincerity and wisdom that he knew his nephew devoured like a starving lion, "This is what life is about. You never know who to trust." He slanted glowing green eyes towards the younger lion, the irony of the situation not lost on him.
Simba finally tore his eyes away from the sky and turned his face to the shadows to hide his pained expression, "He deceived me." He hissed, "He's gone." The golden lion then turned large innocent eyes back to his uncle, "Uncle Scar, you're the one who has always been honest with me." The expression on Simba's face was now one of complete and utter devotion, and a child-like hope, "You will always be here, by my side...won't you?"
And how do you say no to that? You don't, of course, "Yes, my little prince." He purrs. Allowing a fond expression to flit over his face for the younger lion to see. Oh, the things he did to keep his crown.
