many people are asking for pattens and tutorials, i dont share my patterns but this is the way i make them.this is my first tutorial
i´m not sure if everything is clear, if you have any doubt just ask me

I have trouble imagining the finished product from a flat pattern, so this is a great method!

kind of a rubber thing, you can use cardboard instead

Its equivalent of "funky foam"/"fun foam"/"crafting foam" depending on which country you are in. It comes in thin sheets which you can cut out with a pair of scissors

You make my life much more easier with this tutorial. Really. I´m making a plushie as a Christmas gift for my sister I was goig crazy with the patterns. I don´t know how to do them and the I found this is DD!!

This appears to be the real-life equivalent of "unfold" method of UV-mapping on 3D models. The concept is the same, even if one is a virtual process. Of course if you're familiar with modeling in 3D, you could actually use the UV chart template as the basis for making a stuffed toy. Just remember to expand the margins so that you'd have material needed to stitch together.
Making paper toys/models (papakura) also follows this kind of concept.

i´m not familiar with 3d modeling but i think that industrialized plushie patterns may be made like that

I used to jus take old wornout stuffed animals apart and maybe modify or use different materials, this is really smart.
Would this work for makng clothes for hard to fit people?
