Description
I've never had a professional massage before. Is this what they're like? I'll bet it is.The Ophiogenees (Serpent-Born) are a mythological people mentioned briefly by the ancient Greek writers Strabo and Aelian in the first and second centuries. Strabo said they were descended from a hero who changed from a serpent into a man, while Aelian said they were born when a woman named Sybaris mated with a dragon that guarded a grove sacred to Artemis. Strabo further said that male Ophiogenees has the ability to cure snakebites by "continuous[ly] stroking" the victim and drawing the "livid color" (presumably the poison) into their own bodies, removing the patient's pain and inflammation. I decided to take that a step further and say Ophiogenees can absorb any sort of toxin from the people they massage, and thus a new wellness industry is born! Oh, and neither Strabo nor Aelian mention the Ophiogenees as being particularly reptilian in appearance; presumably they look just like regular people in the original myth, but WHERE'S THE FUN IN THAT I ASK YOU?!?
