There are many legends involving the Cyclops, most notably Homers Odessey. But there is another that tells how the Cyclops were offered forsight in exchange for one of thier eyes. (they supposedly had 2 eyes in the beginning) The Cyclops agreed but found that they had been tricked, for the only foresight they gained was in seeing thier own deaths.
My attempt with this wp was to capture the moment of horror when the Cyclops saw his own death. Hope it worked. =]

really like it. the texturing is awesome and the atmosphere is fitting very well. just one point to critize is the metal stitching in the left upper corner. for my opinion the cyclop is made out of stone so why the hell he need a stitch

Wow ...... just great work. The bottom of the mouth is fantastic. The only thing that I see that needs tweaking is the eyeball. Looks a little cartoonish.
