Not just the clothing, mind you; the spear (or staff; I can't freaking tell due to all the detail) looks more like a feather duster than an actual weapon.
In regards to the clothing, it tells us absolutely nothing about the character. The saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" normally means that a single picture can tell a story, not that whatever's in the picture needs a thousand words to describe. You know how a character's clothing can normally clue us in as to who they are or what they're up to, like this: [link]
