Maya was created magically by Maia. Maia was originally supposed to be white - but for some reason she wasnt.
Maia is also slightly corrupted because of all the magic stuff so she wanted to create the 'slightly better' copy of herself.

Maya is a confused young girl, with really powerful powers and access to Nao as well. But her personality is yet unknown.

It is unknown if Maya actually is margay, since nobody knows what sources Maia used when creating her.

The differences between Maia and Maya are:
Maya is white instead of orange, she is 10cm shorter, her tail is slightly bigger, her eyes are red/indigo and her hair is strighter and shorter.

Maya's so called powers are mostly unknown, but it seems they can be used in both good or bad.
