I know you said none of these latest flower shots came out too good, but I'd beg to differ on this one..and actually, the others are decent shots as well. This one is a beautiful subject, and
the vertical orientation works really well. One thing I think would improve it would be if it had a better background, but sometimes we have to play the hand we are dealt..I think you would have lost too much depth of field on the flower itself if you tried to blur that background anymore, and if you'd just thrown a sheet or something down there in the background, it would have been too noticeable probably. Anyway, all in all a very nice flower photo

Ooh Micah, trying to do some nature photography now are we? Looks nice, is it a Lilac? I'm not very much good at identifying flowers/plants. No wonder that bush looks dangerous...could be where I got my rash.
