Here's my redesign of my angel OC, Annabelle!

I've always intended Annabelle to resemble Nerine from Shuffle!, the first (and, so far, only) harem anime series I ever saw: www.bing.com/images/search?vie…
I've tried drawing Annabelle in that style many times before, but could never really get the feel for it. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to draw the eyes and how to properly place them on the face. It wasn't until recently when I felt comfortable enough to draw in this style again. I suck when it comes to drawing in an anime style, so I simplified certain elements to make it more attainable to my own style. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out! ^^

I will admit, it's highly jarring seeing Annabelle drawn in a style different than your signature usual (especially when comparing her to the more simplified Ken right there in the corner), but I'd say its fitting for her type of character.

I thought this design was more fitting to her character, as well. I view myself as a simple man (Hence, the simplistic, cartoony design), while I've always viewed Annabelle as a much more refined being.

It makes sense as she hails from Heaven where everything and everyone is morally perfect and pure. Whereas the people of Earth, being flawed, can’t reach that level of refinement even if they do good by free will.

It only makes sense Annabelle looks like that, to emphasize the higher, angelic plane she hails from that imperfect mortal man, rendered more cartoony as Ken is, can’t fathom.
But that’s first grade stuff.
