Ok, so...I was feeling inspired after rewatching Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame and I just really wanted to make a medieval soldier character. Not necessarily a fancharacter for that movie, but don't be surprised is I happen to insert her in some pretty screwed up fantasies. XD

Anyway, here is former King's Lieutenant, Sir Piers. Full name Piers Beauvais. But Piers has a secret. Her real name is Annora and she became a knight pretending to be a man.

Annora was born to your typical miller family and as such lived the dull and struggling life as a medieval peasant. The youngest of two sisters and older to a brother, Annora's family worked hard milling grain into flour for the nearby villagers. Tragedy struck the family when the father Gawain Beauvais went traveling on horseback for tools and ended up getting caught in a river stream where he drowned. Things only got worse when the youngest of the children (son Piers) sustained a deep cut while getting water form a well. The cut became infected and the 5 year old boy couldn't fight it off. Annora's mother and sisters were devastated at the lose but Annora could only worry about how her mother would go on without a husband or a son to take care of her. Annora made the choice from there to convince everyone that it was in fact her that died from infection and she was actually Piers. As strange as the plan was, Annora's mother actually went along with it and everyone in town believe her son lied. Annora cut her hair and started wearing her brothers clothes as you do, but she also took up hunting and became very good at it. As she grew older, Annora living as Piers became close to the lord of the land they lived on and trained to become a solider. She was so skilled with a sword that the lord helped her up the ranks to become a well renowned warrior.

Along with Annora's reference is her horse Bonafos. An Andalusian breed she raised from just a filly. She's loyal, active, and just as fierce as Annora is. I drew the horse traced from Phoebus's horse Achilles from Disney's Hunchback. It was just a good pic for the horse. :3
