Description Okay, soooo after many complications, this is finally done. Firstly I want to apologise to the ACA mods - due to proxy issues with my internet, I was unable to download the official character sheet for ACA, so I did my best to make one like it. Orz

Second, it's my first time drawing desserts! Please be kind TT^TT

OC for

NAME: Tanner Riddley
AGE: 25
HOUSE: Cookie

HISTORY:
Tanner is not one of those people who always wanted to be a pastry chef. He's not one of those people with an incredible sweet tooth that loves desserts. In fact... desserts piss Tanner off. They always have done. They always look so tempting and when he finally bought them to bring a nice close to his meal, they were so sickly sweet that he couldn't eat more than a few mouthfuls of them.

That's right. Dessert was a waste of time, money and effort in Tanner's opinion. Or at least that is what he used to think, anyway.

Born British, but relocated to Australia in his early childhood, Tanner entered the Australian Federal Police Force right after graduating high school. He worked hard, he played by the book and had quite a healthy career in front of him - or so his superiors would always tell him. That is until one day when a raid went awry, leaving him with a shattered left kneecap, of course.

After reconstructive surgery and a year and a half worth of rehabilitation, Tanner was left with a limp and the inability to run, even if he tried. He was offered an office job with the police force, but being chained to a desk wasn't his idea of a career. He was more of an action man, always wanting to be busy doing something with his hands.

With a heavy heart, Tanner retired from the police force and was left to try and find a new calling. Though it seemed whatever that calling was, was out of the house and not answering its messages. Severely depressed, Tanner attempted to turn to food for comfort. Attempted being the operative word. For every time he craved something sweet - he physically couldn't eat it.

Out of his blinding rage at the inability to even eat what he wanted, Tanner attempted to create his own kind of dessert. One that didn't taste like he was biting the behind of a sugary rainbow. Being utterly inept when it came to naming, but rather creative when it came to figuring out recipes, Tanner quickly started developing what he called 'Man Sweets'. That were essentially desserts for men that wanted to be able to eat sweet things, but couldn't quite handle the taste of regular desserts.

Surprisingly enough, Tanner found he enjoyed being preoccupied with figuring out recipes and experimenting in the kitchen, and after a few months of watching the food network and intermittently looking for other work while he enjoyed the hobby of making sweets... it finally dawned on him; he should just make sweets for a living. Man Sweets.

Without so much as a second thought - because he was a man who committed to an idea when he liked it - Tanner was off to France, determined to get into the Angel Cake Academy (even if he thought the name sounded somewhat... girly).

SPECIALTIES:
Semisweet Pistachio, Hazelnut and Mint Chocolate Cheesecake
Bittersweet Nut Truffles

PERSONALITY:

Tanner is a man that most would probably consider to be a little intimidating. He is not the most approachable person in the world and usually has an intense or preoccupied expression on his face. Though, unless he has reason to be, he's usually not all that scary.

Tanner doesn't really speak unless something needs to be said, but he's perfectly content to have casual conversations with almost anyone, provided they don't grate on his nerves by being completely ridiculous or biggoted.

Logical and level-headed, Tanner is a man of practicality, always putting what is sensible ahead of whimsy (even though he has his moments when he thinks no one is watching). It is a rare occassion that Tanner happens to get upset or angered to the point of voicing his opposition - let alone acting on it - but when he does, he is an unstoppable destructive force, thanks to the training from his previous job.

Rough around the edges and abrasive in how he speaks, Tanner, despite appearances, is always a gentleman. Chivalry is definitely not dead and if a person could embody the notion of it, Tanner would be that person (even if he really doesn't look like it).

RELATIONSHIPS: None at the moment. ^_^
