Colored in Painter, over about 9 hours, I'd say.If you know who Mekion is, you'll understand what's happening. If you don't know who Mekion is, the following is a brief explanation.
In my fanfics, Shadow is half robot. The robot half of him is called Mekion (a contraction of Mecha-Fusion), and Mekion is a fan of all things evil. When Black Doom appears with a request and a bargain, Mekion leaps at it, while Shadow doesn't trust Black Doom and doesn't want anything to do with him. But, as Mekion and Shadow share the same body, this presents a problem.
So this is a nice poster illustrating Black Doom, his Eye, and the extreme conflict between Shadow and Mekion, as he both obeys and disobeys Doom in the same breath, even the same thought.

I like this picture. the coloring and shading style is very nice, as is Shadow's pose and expression. The whole Mekion thing seems rather silly to me.
Am I the only one who think Black Doom resembles the final boss from the game Doom II?

I'm not too big a fan of the game, and heck, in my continuity, it's MOSTLY going to get written out, because there's no way I can properly do it without ticking someone off, something I'm sure you can pull off, since you always seem to.
However, I do look forward to the adaption, if you ever do it, which is up to you.

Great job on Doom and his eye. The way his eye reflects is like.. holy cow. o-o The clouds too, very smooth, implicating a real painting almost.
Poor, poor little Shadow. Always getting stuck in the middle of it all. I love Mekion's eyes, he looks brilliantly psychotic. Great work. ^^

Working a Shadow adapt into my continuity is no problem at all. Actually, my biggest worry is that I'm running out of cities to destroy. XD
And yes, poor Shadow. Seeing as his grasp of morality is shaky anyway, this whole situation is incredibly difficult to him. Especially since Mekion keeps him isolated from anyone who might give him advice.

The first thing I said when I saw this, though it has already been commented on, this too is the first time I've seen Shadow and Mekion displayed as seperate entities. It really gets the point across how different the two really are in personality, opinion and appearance. Though they are both forced to share one vessel. One thing I love about your artwork NR, is how you make the layout in them. No matter how much or little is going on in them they always have a nice 'flow' in them. Keep it up, and I can't wait to see your next piece. *faved*
