First Appearance: Giant Size X-Men Issue 1 (1975)

Bio:
Kurt Wagner has spent he whole life being called a monster and a freak by the human population. That’s because he is a mutant with the appearance of a blue elf, but also has the ability to teleport to other locations by casting a purple black cloud (the other X-Men jokingly referred to his method as BAMF! Because of the sound it makes) after spending some time with his traveling circus family (which he was named the Amazing Nightcrawler) and later as a Monk in the. Christian Monestary as he found faith in God, Kurt was recruited by Charles Xavier and Scott Summers to join an “All New All Different” roster of the X-Men to save the originals on the island of Krakoa. Kurt formed friendships with his fellow all new X-men such as Wolverine and Colossus. He later became close friends with then new recruit Kitty Pride/Shadowcat. They both later joined the British branch of the X-Men called Excalibur, before they both returned to the X-Men full time. Nightcrawler later diacovers that the villianous Mistique is his biological mother, and that his teammate Rogue is his foster sister. He and rogue have had a closer relationship since that revelation.
