More commissioned work!Peter Gabriel makes me feel like this.
I decided to experiment with style- trying to combine my watercolor with digital work. I'm nervous working with it, but this idea in particular seemed to cry out for texture.
Hopefully people dig this- it was a fight from start to finish! But I'm pleased with the result, and I want to try more as I go along!

This is quite surreal; I like the design and concept very much. Looks like some sort of fairytale. Lovely with the traditional style and colors.

THATS REALLY NICE! What Peter Gabriel song were you listening to? Im guessing it wasnt "Sledgehammer" lol. If anything it makes me think of "In the middle of the night" by Billy Joel.

Thanks! The color really came together at the end- I painted it in my usual blue tones and wrestled with it in photoshop until I was happy

The blue night wing was what I was looking forward to, and painting the color in over the red was so much fun!

I think some of your digital art (like The Hollow Men) already speak a similar language as watercolour so I think its a natural blend between them. For me at least different techniques bleeds into each other. At the first art school I attended I painted a lot of watercolour during a few months and after that I did a lot of oil. Surprisingly to me (at the time) I almost instinctively mixed colours the same way. Used little pure colour and a lot of linseed oil. What I'm saying is I think you've mixed before but perhaps unknowingly and your digital work already reminds me of watercolour.
