well thisevening in #terragen merlin-tbd [link] has been setting me post render challenges. this is teh result of one of merlins renders he challenged me to spruce up.you should see some of the other renders he sent me to "do up" how does a standard lake wiht two great big columns sound? yea. not nice...

The blurring or the border I'm not loving too much, guess that my opinion, but the extra mist touch is really good. The simple texturing works very well in this Good job on both sides - I would be interested to know what the original did look like and how much post processing was involved in this.

The contrast is excellent. Why can I never get my contrasting right? My computer would to do something at that quality. A few pixels and a shadow (in one colour) is all it can manage lol.
Looks like a film matte from some Fantasy film!

Again with the borders; a tad too thick
Love the image though; its very dark and forboding. The rocks really do look evil - the way that the snow/ice stays on the ground, but is almost too scared to touch the rock

This is truly a fantastic scene, still and ominous... very powerful. I just set it as my wallpaper -- and I hadn't change that for ages, ind you!
