Around here there's still no sign of spring, cold and rainy weather.So I thought I'll create a bit of spring feeling for myself
Studio setup, Nikon D100, color adjustments to create a softer look

Wow, such a minimalistic feel, yet shows true beauty. I love everything about this shot, the lighting, the wonderful background color (which suits the green and white perfectly), the soft almost fabric look of the pedals, the title (oh how I can not wait untill it feels like spring). I'm so pleased that you only show the flower and stem because I think if you had a pot or dirt etc, it would really take away from the simplistic beauty of the shot. I think b&w would also go well with the shot....but the color makes it much more happy...if that makes sence :shurg:

ooooooooooh I love this, tulips are one of my favorites! I only have one suggestion, to make this a more "warm" picture, perhaps a different colored background, like orange or yellow or something like that...the blue makes it seem kind of cold, and maybe the flowers would stick out more against a different color background
still pretty though, I like it!

Lovely! I just put up some of my tulip pics too, I'm looking for spring! We have cold rainy weather here as well; supposed to rain all weekend.
I love the soft colors, blue is an interesting yet effective background for this shot. Wonderful composition, I love how one tulip reaches up higher than the others. The way the leaves are and the negative space they create just amazes me. It's perfect; as if you had coaxed each leaf, each petal into the perfect position.
