This one took some serious work. About 30 completely new OC ponies in varying degrees of distress. Oh right...
WARNING - This comic is a bit severe. Don't read it if you want to spoil your good mood
Note that I don't intend to get this grim often, just that considering Nightmare Moon collapsed large sections of the castle and who knows what else, it's likely there were some serious injuries.
A few things to note: There's a pegasus in the rafters who looks pretty upset. Her name is Whirley and she's a cameo from this comic: [link]
After reading that heartbreaker, I always wanted to give that poor little pony a hug and now I have
Also, Rose is invisible for the entire duration of this comic. At the end, the pony observing believes that Willow is running away screaming. She also makes a snide comment which is a hint to the political landscape of the time (healing ponies don't think much of "emotional healing").
Lastly, I'm enormously pleased with myself. This turned out very artsy and awesome in parts. It was mostly an accident that I thought of some of the arrangements and effects, but I think they turned out really well!
Oh... lastly, lastly: This was actually supposed to continue beyond this point, but the comic would have been too long and it already took an extraordinary amount of effort to do this much so I'm going to stop here for a bit. The next comic will have Celestia again
IMPORTANT! The thing in the tubs is soiled bandages. That's why they're cleaning them over by the river. They're not organs or some of the other things people keep asking me

Did you read "The Real Story"? All of this takes place during the original NMM attack 1000 years ago just before she got banished to the moon. When she attacked, she destroyed a good part of the "castle of the two sisters" (that's the canon story anyway). I'm just showing that such an event couldn't have occured without casulties and injuries. Does that help?

The kids are freaked out about it and the nurse is telling them to get a grip. She's short tempered because she was yelled at earlier and the stress of the situation.

I never even noticed the nurse washing the bandages and the nurse being yelled at were the same pony. That's a nice touch!

There's a story there to. Notice that the doctor yells at one nurse, she yells at another, she yells at the foals... it's a chain of anger.

I realized how heavy this one was going to be when in the first panel, I noticed one of the sheets pulled all the way up.
The saddest part for me, though, was the pallet pony. I was about to cry for her from the second panel she featured in. The third and fourth got me even worse.

I have to say, at first I was reluclant to read something out of the "legend" already told in the show, but winter willow is such a develop caracther and truly original in my opinion, her hair resembling leaves she is truly neat..
Oh...well I suppose THOUSAND YEARS also goes to medical practice...as before to operate someone they hold them down and use big saws -shudder-
I feel bad for the pony looking for her or his friend...this looks like a pony version of pearl harbor....
Showing that grim part of the pony history that the show wont is kinda fullfiling, like you know more and see more plot than just a kids cartoon...
And I know they are washing blooded bandages but still dont get why she is mad or why she ended up crying after freaking out by seen her own hooves...

This one made me choke up because I have a lot of empathy for Willow just like she does for everyone. It's painful and only the most kind people of the world can ease that pain.

Willow's mane and tail are very nice and so original. How ever did you come up with the idea for so many pony tails? I understand it comes with the name, but I never would've thought of something like that.

Someone told me that Celestia's mane is modeled after an Aurora Borealis. It was then that I decided to do the same. All the girls have themed hair (willow tree, a rose petal, an islander girl). The boys hair was designed based on their temperment: Rook being sleek and "beautiful" while Crabapple careless and unkempt.

*sniffle* I had to skim it the first time to keep from crying. then, when I saw Lilly and T.E.... So much sadness here. I only have two questions:
Does the artist-pony find her friend? And the ponies in the bottom right-hand corner of the first panel-- Is one of them dead?
The concept of an undertaker-pony is very interesting, though. Very sad, too, but someone's gotta do it.

The dead ones are all covered by cloth. If you can see them, they're still alive. Except for the filly's mother.
And yes, I imagine that the seeker pony does eventually find who she's looking for.

You see, this is what happens when I get out of school. During school, I practically cut off my use of the computer so I can practice for the basketball season and keep my class ranking where it's at, where as during the Summer... Well, let's just say Battlefield 3, Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3, and a lot of other game titles are lined up on my desk, just waiting to be played 
And here I find myself saying non-relative things to you just to explain the sporadic nature of the content of my comments.
