Admittedly, I'm not exactly a well-trained artist. I'm mostly a skater and a bboy, but this week I ended up getting a hell of a fever, so I've been indoors all week.

Anyhow, I decided to draw a bust for once on Paint.Net and put it on my Slow Scan TV. Scanning these things is a bit of a pain, as you've got limited control of the brightness and contrast of any given image. This was incidentally the first time I tried turning the knobs mid-scan to fine-tune the image quality. Thankfully converting images to B/W8 radio signals is no sweat these days.

Low-brightness, high contrast gets you very clear lines, but loses on a lot of detail (note how Nyn's hair panels all just turn into a single block of hair on the left). High brightness and low contrast gets you more detail, but the image becomes a lot harder to read. Sometimes lines just... Disappear (Note how Nyn's smile and outfit are a lot harder to see on the right).
