Kaoru is known to be patient and level-headed, at least compared to his brother, Hikaru. He is gentlemanly, making him quite selfless and reliable to trainers and Pokemon alike. When he is around his brother, however; he becomes a little more mischievous and troublesome. He knows when to back out of the mischief if it goes to far and is usually the one to get the two out of trouble. Living at the Valley now, he spends his days with Derosiers and his family. He often visits Hikaru since the Heights are close by.
