ok people, i'll explain
you know how some people have blinds that look like 30-50 or so long thin shingles of plastic? then when you adjust a plastic stick on the top, they adjust their angle, allowing more or less light in the room? that's what it is, as far as i know. i have one on my windows.
and it's a fantastic photo...

Whoo, that's a sweet shot, it reminds me of the glass elevators where you can look through and see the circular inlets like that and the track that you're riding on
