Description The night's sky was beautiful. The dust motes were airborne and waltzing with the stars. I never got used to how the stars were brighter further away from Container City. It seemed nature was sending you an invitation to leave the safety of home, no wonder scavers never spent more than a day in a settlement. The cool breeze was amazing yet gentle very welcome from the heat of the day. The smoke from my cigarette was dancing away in the breeze. The guards were chuckling away joking and sharing tells with our new friends. I hope that Park City would be as embracing to his kind as we have been. I flicked my cigarette over the steel wall of the caravan and reaffixed my respirator.
As I took a step to join in an earsplitting bang rocked the vehicle violently. Everyone started grabbing their gear and was shouting, "IED get down!" Before I could do anything the vehicle toppled and sent me flying into the field with a deafening boom. My ears were still ringing as I hit the ground. My arm felt numb. How bad was it? I can't tell. Was I burned, was it broken? Was it even still there? All I could focus on was the caravan everyone was scrambling. They were firing into the opposite field. I have no idea if anything was being sent back in our direction. My ears were overcome with an obnoxious high-pitched tone. The muzzle flashes were flashing like a strobe on the dark landscape. My eyes grew heavy along with my body as I fell back to the ground under my own weight. I could see those bright stars as they flickered between darkness, and I went out.
I was transported to another world. The air was clean and safe as it filled my lungs without any bad taste. It was incredible, is this how everything was before the cataclysm? I was jolted from my revelry and I stumbled a few steps. I turned to see the even more beautiful thing than this world.
"… Why are just standing there looking into nothing. Do I need to remind you this is us time," She pretty much sang out in an amazingly sweet tone from between her full lips.  Her dusty blonde hair draped into a framing position with the rest loosely tied back behind her head.  Her hair was sweeping passed her face the breeze. I never saw her before now but I knew her. I had an overwhelming familiarity to the woman. She was short. I would have to gauge around 5 feet. I scanned over her quickly. My, my, she was gorgeous. Amazing silky tone legs. She was wearing denim shorts with a red halter top, which brought me back to her face. Her petite gentle features with her full lips, elegant jaw line and neck held together in an elegant manner. What really affixed me were her beautiful and striking emerald eyes. My heart was racing.
"I'll give you us time…" I chuckled out playfully muttering a name I couldn't hear as I pulled her to me leaning in, locking our lips together. She wrapped her arms, one hand on my back the other slowly pulling her silky fingers through my hair. Wherever she would touch, it would tingle under my skin. Her soft lips giving way and parting with mine. We parted slightly resting our foreheads together breathing heavy through our mouths. Taking in all the new delicious aromas and tastes, I dropped my hands down and lifted her up to me. She clasped her hands around my neck in surprise and let out squeal and giggles in delight. Her lips passionately came back to mine as I gently laid her down on the hood of a car. As our faces parted again we both opened our eyes gazing into each others. "If all else fails, remember me," I whispered as out lips magnetically found each others. Then this paradise slowly started dimming. I felt a sense of dread, feeling cheated out of all I really wanted.
"You know I like it more when you call me Netta instead of my first name," she whispered to me as we both vanished into a gaping darkness. The dark void took over and I felt sad and furious that this just vanished.

I began to hear things, the metronome tone of an EKG. Feeling began to comeback to me as I shifted my head side-to-side Lightly easing my eyes open to a blinding light. I began to scan the room for the darkest spot to adjust my eyes. I locked on to a pair striking emeralds that were already locked to my gaze as both our eyes began to widen. I tried to shift myself toward her but my left arm erupted in to piercing pain and I clutched at my shoulder wincing and grunted from it.
"Careful, your arm was badly burned in the explosion," She sweetly warned me. Her voice was even more beautiful than in the dream. "Do you need anything?"
"Water…Please," I somehow coughed out dryly. She elegantly rushed to the tap and placed the cup in my good hand.
"I think I have seen you somewhere, far away," She sang out perplexed a confused look sweeping through her lovely features.
"I know what you mean… Netta,"
