I thought I'd give an example with a few ocs I've made in the past, and a few I made to fit this meme.

1. Early civilization oc: 3300 BC - 1200 BC
(China, ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, etc.)
Sabra- an Egyptian mummification priest
Lifetime: during the 18th dynasty, late 1490's BC to 1550's BC

2. Ancient Greece or Roman oc: 1190's BC - 476 AD
(the Trojan war to the fall of the Roman Empire)
Liviana- a female gladiator who willingly took up the profession after her brother, Paulus, was forced to and killed
Lifetime: Within the beginning of the first 100 years of the current era

3. Middle Ages oc: 500 AD - 1500 AD
(knights, crusades, Renaissance, etc.)
Nora Abram-fought for her right to be a knight as a teenager, became one in 1358
Lifetime: middle of the dark ages, 1360 in her adulthood, born ~1340

4. Pirate oc: 1650-1730 (Golden Age of Piracy)
Captain James Gavin with Harvey Wright
Lifetime: not long before the end of the golden age of piracy, being at their adult life in 1720 (born in 1688 and 1695 respectively)

5. Wild West oc: 1865-1880
Judith (Ruth) Rockwell- a cowgirl who's a sharp-shooter and a keen rider with horse named Maybell. She spends time with her companion, Claire O'Neil
Lifetime: 1873, born in 1846 and 1850 respectively

6. Future oc: 20XX + (Beyond the present)
Ace (Advanced Cyborg Engineering)- a cyborg created by mad scientists in the pursuit of advancing technology.
