This is a pic i fif years back for a photo contest when i was a sophmore in high school
all dark room work no digital fixup

I was trying to make it look like the checkers board was the ground by fading to balck by the end of the board

I dont know what my eyes saw that day, but i did about 50 prints of this till i was happy with the print.

I did end up being choosen. and this pic was on display at the center for creative photography at the U of A in Tucson Az

I choose the name of gauze because it can mean confusion. exactly what this is about. no one can really tell how simple this pic is, and how different things look under a different light.
