This is 1 of 3 14”x11” recreation paintings of one of Haruyo Morita’s paintings, and this one is in “ugly colors” of my choosing/ I tried to make it look “ugly” the best way I can.

Morita is a Japanese artist who for the most part painted Geishas. Morita painted from the 1940s-1970s and she continues to live in Japan to this day.

I was afraid to post this because I never asked the artist’s permission to use her painting as a reference photo. I’d like to share the photos of my paintings to you guys anyways. I’d like to show you an appreciation I have towards Japanese culture and Geishas, too.
