History:

Born and raised in Hershey, the only child to the owners of a popular bakery. Surrounded by sugary sweets and fresh bread from birth, it was only natural that Maple would desire to learn how to do it themselves. It was like magic to the little eevee, putting all these seemingly unrelated items together and creating something delicious.

Once they got started, it was clear Maple had a gift for baking, to the point that some could consider them a prodigy. They could combine the wildest ingredients and come up with something tasty that their parents and customers alike loved.

It was in their teens that Maple evolved, coming into contact with a strange amber colored water stone while out looking for new ingredients to play around with near the Sweetful Isles Luminous Spring. The stone had been floating the spring water, and Maple couldn't help but grab at it. When their form changed, they found that their scales were a soft brown instead of blue, and their tail fins didn't look like fins at all. They looked like pancake slices! How cool! They rushed home to excitedly show their parents, who shared in the elation once the initial shock of their child evolving wore off.

Life continued as normal after, and a few years later Maple had a surprise visitor at the bakery. A younger Fidough girl they'd met in town, who had the cutest ears that resembled pink frosted donuts. Maple adored her and was happy to see her as always. But this time she wasn't just shopping, but instead asked to be hired as an apprentice baker at the shop. She wanted to learn everything Maple knew, and one look was enough to know she was serious.

Maple has happy to teach, and after that day the little Fidough became their student as well as their faithful assistant in the bakery. The two were practically inseparable, wherever Maple went there was always a puppy shaped shadow right behind them.

It was during one of their shifts that a team with the GCSF stopped by the bakery. Maple vaguely recognized the Yamper, and sure enough it turned out that he was native to Hershey. Arlo and a couple of his teammates had stopped in Hershey to sightsee during a a break from missions. Maple was quick to ask about their adventures as an exploration team, and the more Arlo and his friends described it, the more fascinated Maple became. Just thinking of all the new and interesting baking they could create with plants native to mystery dungeons had their eyes twinkling.

As impulsive and food driven as ever, Maple asked on the spot if there were any openings on their team. Everyone in the bakery was shocked, including the little Fidough and Maple's parents. Arlo happily assured them there was plenty of room, but a more level headed teammate suggested thinking it over a bit. Maple had to agree with that, and once the team left for the day Maple sat down with their parents to talk it over.

Ultimately it was decided that the bakery would be fine even if Maple stepped away, and that they were old enough to make their own decisions. There was however, the little Fidough that Maple was mentoring. She was naturally upset and asked to come to the GCSF too, but she was too young and Maple had to break that to her.

But they made a deal; she would finish her apprenticeship underneath Maple's parents, and once she was of a more appropriate age to venture out of Hershey, Maple would come pick her up themselves. That and Maple promised to visit as often as possible, of course!

So the following day Maple hunted down the team in town to give them their decision. Arlo was ecstatic to have a new member of the team, even giving the little Fidough who followed along the express approval to join them as well once she was old enough.
