Description
Better download!First thing to do is a very rough animated test in Flash.
Then goes inking and colouring.
The final step is to add a background.
All is done in Flash CS3, though, you can do everything with even Flash 5.

my only complaint is the coloring of the background... it's a pretty background and beautifully done, but the cat almost disappears within it since he's just some shades darker while the green pack he wears stands out more than him and not by much.

Hi Oha! I'm an aspiring animator and I really haven't animated much and just do everything in Photoshop CS3 using it's animating feature. You've inspired me to work with Flash CS3, but I do have two questions. How do you get your animation so smooth and how long does it generally take to animate 1 minutes worth? (Sorry for the hassle. My animating is choppy and I'd love to learn how to improve!)

The smooth animation contain two ingredients:
1) No repeating frames (for example: smooth animation usually made of 24 frames per second, not 12fps, though with 12 fps it's much easier and less work indeed)
2) Inbetweening (like, you are not drawing frame-by-frame, you should draw, let's say, frame #1 and frame #3, and only then you draw frame #2, using the center of those two different drawings 1&3. It's a very basics of a traditional animation.)
One minute worth?.... Hmmm, it depends, but I'd say one minute in month, maybe. But that is just if it's very difficult.
I remember the time I made 40 seconds of animation in just a few days!
So really, it depends.
Thank you.

EPIC WIN!!!! So smooth! Though, no fault of your own cuz the art is EXCELLENT, it gets just a little fuzzy at times. Probably just the resolution. I'm sure the real file is great. Good luck with your project!
