Well you know a good test is to take a photo of yourself, highlight the hair in photoshop using the select tool and change the colour using hue/saturation to see what shade would suit you- that's what I did!

Oh I LOVE short hair, mainly because I'm a very lazy person- long hair is so hard to look after sometimes so I just got sick of it. Having said that it depends on the individual, so whether it'd be good for you is entirely up to you so I can't offer any help I'm afraid!
