Description
Bold Jumping Spider on my bike tire. These little fellows are fast moving spiders with great eyesight. They hunt during the day, pouncing their prey. This one appears to be male, though i am not completely sure, sometimes with these spiders it's hard to tell. The abdomen was slim and the palps looked large, so i concluded it to be male. Males are said to have "eyebrows" but again, it was difficult to tell if it had them or not as i don't know what the scientific community would consider "eyebrows" on a spider. But moving on...They have iridescent green fangs, white, orange or yellow spots on their abdomens and are seen around houses. Despite their scary appearance, they are harmless unless one is allergic to the spider's bite (very, very, very rare). This little fellow didn't want to leave my bike tire but i eventually convinced it to do so. After it was on the ground i continued with picture taking before rolling my bike into the garage. Last i knew this spider had taken shelter under a fallen leaf.FULL VIEW RECOMMENDED FOR DETAILS
