Illustration for the second chapter of my fan fic. [link]Our vulpine little hero is preparing to face the one who ordered him kidnapped to another country. Miyuki won't let him see the lord of the manor without at least wearing the appropriate clothes. ^_^
Please forgive the two AM mistake of making his eyes green. Yes, I know they're blue. You should have seen me facepalm when I realized what I'd done. -_- Also, while there is a koi pond in the story, I had no room left to draw it without making it just some cluttery mess in the background, so I omitted it from the picture.

Really? Aw, thanks. ^_^ Heh, I'd imagine if a furred character isn't used to clothing, they would seem hot and itchy, since the individual hairs would catch in the fabric.

Right, the picture... is good. Of course if I was Tails I would have not even bothered with a kimono, since a loinclothe is enough for me.
One thing I never understood about the culture of Japan is the need for the Tatami. Surely more solid surfaces are more appropriate (this has nothing to do with the fact that I can be heavy footed and I'm secretly afraid that if I set foot on such a floor I might break through accidently)
I understand paper walls (its cheaper) but the woven floors always worry me.

The thing with tatami is that it gives more under bare feet and having to sit on the floor and all. It also used to only be a luxury item.

I like your Bob tail, she seems like a good character ^-^ The coloring on her looks really good to (The position remindes me of the bidding kitty myth) The screens in the back ground look great! Getting the color spred so lightly on them!

I had to really mess around with the scanner settings to get the pale colors to show up at all (the cherry trees are still very washed out) but I'm glad enough showed up that you noticed!

In my opinion, Tails should have been drawn with green eyes in the first place... When I see cartoon pictures of foxes, their eyes are usually green. Take Fox McCloud for example...

Well...hedgehogs aren't blue, so...I think the idea of realistic coloring was thrown out a long time ago. Nevertheless, if I'm not paying attention, I always make Tails with green eyes.

Wow. They're both so darn cute.
Oddly, the green eyes don't bother me as much as the way Tails' left foot seems to be splitting in half; I realize it's meant to be his toes, but it looks like he's wearing an invisible sandle, and there's no likewise split in the other sock.
That's just a piffling nitpick, though. On the whole, this is a very nice picture, with your usual high standards of smooth lines and solid coloring. :3

Yeah, his other foot is turned in such a way that you can't see the indentation there. He's not wearing sandals, of course. Sorry!
