"The former head of Joey Drew Studios. Joey summoned the demon, March to make his dreams come true. The catch: once his dream was fulfilled, Joey would have to pay March back with his soul. With the help of some occult books, Joey found a complicated loophole to keep March from devouring him. Despite this, March always finds a way to get what he's due.

With his soul bound to the studio, Joey would eventually find himself trapped with many of his old friends and employees. Originally he had more freedom over his form, much like his story counterpart, Wanderer. In his incorporeal state, he could could go anywhere he pleased, hassle free, but he couldn't interact with anything and as long as he lingered in this form he'd slowly lose his sanity. He would later share a corporeal body with Wanderer. Joey would try to stop Wanderer from causing any more harm, however, there was very little he could do once Wanderer took over. Though he didn't have as much control over his corporeal form as Wanderer did, he did manage to take on the form of his younger self.

Later in the story, he (and Wanderer) were taken by Garvey and each were given a new, permanent body, both resembling Bendy. This procedure had severe side effects that took quite a toll on Joey: in addition to gaining Bendy's consciousness leaving him mute and unable to stop smiling, Joey would have moments where all of his memories would overwhelm his mind, swirling in his head like a great cyclone. Once he comes back around, he's always left feeling depressed and traumatized. Those memories would slip away as quick as they came."
