Description
YOU MUST FULL VIEW. This piece is 1000x5000, if you do not full view, you are missing out on everything that * mehthemonkey and I put our efforts into. Here it is, the long awaited collab between myself and . This piece consists of two seperate styles put to the test and limits of each of our abilities. We both learned a lot through this piece. I know that has greatly improved his planet making skills, 3d effects, shading, and lighting by this piece. I have also learned a lot, different brush techniques, shading, lightning, and 3d effects as well.
and I hope that you enjoy this piece thoroughly, and we apologize for the long download time. This piece needed to be of great size to show detail and help further our abilities.
I just wanna say thank you to for all his hard work and perserverance through this piece. And also all the space artists out there who gave us inspiration.
Hope you guys didn't lose interest, and if you did, maybe this sparked it once more. Expect more pieces like this to come. And thank you for watching me. If you do not watch you should head over there and give him a look see, and a watch.
Thank you all, and hope you enjoy our artwork.

Wow. I have been waiting so long for this, and now that it finally is here, at first I was a bit disappointed, but after taking another second look I realised it was wonderful.
You both did a great job on this, and I can really see you put a lot of work in it.

Did you look at the thumb first?? yeah, that is a bad bad thumb, but the pic itself looks pretty much as te PSD does, and yeah, it does take more than one look to get everything... lots of subtle details

Well... the only problem with that is the quality, it is that size at 100 DPI so its not good quality for a print...

Finally guys, this is some cool shit.As allways I got some good, and some bad stuff to say. keep in mind that theres nothing, nothing ever that can be perfect. nvm...
This piece is cool as hell, of course as every other art work it got its good and bad. The good is allmost everything, brushing, lightning, planets, etc... allaround incredibble work.
To mention something bad, it seems that it's too many planets that are the same, mabye only me who can't see....
And like others, the planets should have better texture, more visible.
overall: I jut freakin love it, it's cool colours, has good atmosphere and is very plesant to the eye. High res? Hell yea, thats awsome, give u much space to work on.
Would gladley see some more collabs between u guys, this is just amazing
Of course this is worth a fav, , for u who don't agree with me, atleast give one anyway for all the hard work wich has been put into this piece.

you've undoubtedly heard a lot of what i can comment/suggest already, planets and textures etc etc etc (although i'm not sure if anyone mentioned about the stars in the top, possibly try using levels to lessen the density). So i'l just summarise and say that the effort in this is completely visible. The merger between fractalia and space is very nice, and whilst in some areas a little more detail wouldn't go amiss, this is surely a superb finished product. Great work
oh and

I think I see a brush of my set there, but I´m not sure, he he. What I really like about this picture, is the satellites so close to their mothers, I don´t give a dam in they don´´t follow any rules about shadows, he he, they don´t, or if the texture is not too real, to me they might as well be atoms and not planets and so the texture is irrelevant, but the idea of those satellites too close, is excellent imho, I would develop that to the point of a recognizable style! You´re gonna make the scenery main page, and hopefully more than that, cogratullations for both of you!

Onorok In reply to batoruco [2004-02-20 19:59:44 +0000 UTC]
I can assure you that no brushing of any set was applied here. Straight default photoshop brushes were used. Glad you like this piece, we put a lot of effort into it.

Wow, this is so beautiful! It's easy to see how much time and effort you guys put into this.. so yeah well done for doing such a great job! I would have to agree with ~difusion that this does seem a tad too cluttered in places but then again it is big enough already as it is. I love that bronze planet on the righthand side by the bottom though with what looks like a crazy electric field around it... looks sic! But overall this piece is just great!! xx

Oh, wow. This is absolutely *gorgeous*. The planets are stunning... (especially the earth-looking one on the left) and the light floaty stuff is so pretty... and so much fun to look at. They're like clouds.. you can see stuff in them.
Very, very beautiful, and I can't believe there haven't been more comments!

the planets are great altho some of them lack texture and the inner glow is too strong and the outer too weak
a little crazy with the apop there, some of them make sense (bottom left gold) others are gratiutous and have contrasting styles
i assume the light source is the bright apop in the center but some of planets dont follow this scheme
tho i really like the shadow from the moon onto the planet in the center
this has a very nice overall feel

my fav planet is the small one that casts a shadow on another

I can see a LOt of time went into this, some things i noticed...planets are overall good except that most could use a couple more texture overlays, Stars could definitly have some nice glows, more colour overall but especially in that energy type field/nebula below and some more brushing on that area would make it really cool. Altogther a great work, GJ here.
