Owl Roll was 5 years old when she was cursed to be a sort of moth-thing. She was in the foster system since they were 3, however when they were 6 got kicked out rather than transferred to a new home. She was found by a 32 year old man named Fenndale after she broke into his house.
Fenndale, assuming the child was an orphan, took them in and practically adopted them. Owl has lived with him ever since but has made frequent visits to an odd cabin in the woods.
