Personality

Reika is very...rough. She has a foul mouth and an even fouler temper, but is surprisingly impassive and composed most of the time. She rarely smiles [unless it's a maniac type of grin while in battle]. She‘s very stubborn, at times in an almost childish way. She’s mostly calm during battles (in which she's a skilled and vicious opponent) but she has a voice [her Zanpakuto, Ketsurui] inside of her head that craves for blood and carnage, which can drive her into a sort of blood-lust (where she becomes even more dangerous and merciless) if she doesn’t keep a firm hold over it. She acts tough but she never really grew out of her teenage naivety. An odd part of Reika's personality is her rather irrational fear of Butterflies.

Abilities

She is very skilled with her Zanpakuto, Ketsurui, but it is more of a born skill than taught. She has a rather unique relationship to understand and work with her Zanpakuto. She is able to control the Initial Release, Shikai, but it is unknown if she has reached the final release, Bankai. It is possible that she can and simply doesn't know that is what the skill is considered. Reika is also able to defend herself with hand-to-hand combat, she refuses to depend too much on Ketsurui. On the other hand she generally tries to stay away from the Kidō that the Shinigami Academy attempted to teach her. She'd much prefer to get her hands dirty than to sit back an allow some spell to do the fun work.

Background
Reika doesn’t remember much of her past. From what she does remember, she lived with the man that found her in a very run down part of a village [the Rukongai]. When Isamu (the man who found her) was killed Reika left the house they lived in together and became a wanderer.

Reika can be drawn with:

Kenpachi Zaraki - love interest, slightly crazed pursuer
Reika wouldn't even know how to describe her relationship with Kenpachi. She has very little experience in the matter to begin with, she's had rarely any friends and no other lovers to compare him to. It's almost awkward at times for her to even think about feelings she may have to her lover. I'd say she is getting better acquainted with being....loved on? Though she can't help but be annoyed by the fact that Kenpachi is getting under her skin. Kenpachi on the other hand is nearly obsessed with Reika, almost in a way that normal people would consider love sick. But again the man has little understanding of anything that isn't fighting and blood. Even being emotionally stunted he has enough mind to be extremely possessive with Reika. He acts more as an animal, an alpha male if you will and he normally courts Reika as such. Though he likes the fact that Reika always poses a challenge and doesn't simply just fall into his arms.

Ketsurui - Partner, Swords Spirit, tormentor
Reika is the meeker one of the two, though she is fierce in her own right. She is tormented by Ketsurui and has to constantly keep his influence at bay. He is crazed, sadistic and extremely arrogant. He believes Reika is his and is rather peeved that Kenpachi has moved in on his territory.
