Description
This was for my media class, the assignment was to paint an animal as realistic as possible using acrylics. I failed, miserably. I could not for the life of me get this to look the way I wanted, it was frustrating to say the least.Image Copyright © Ricardo Arenas

Despite failing on photorealism, you have some wonderful complimentary harmonies. photo realism requires middle tones, something thats nearly impossible with acrylic. Washes in a dry environment are your friend. You can really crank out the layers of paint, then refine as your begin to accomplish some of your goals. Kudos for finishing it.
